Games room
To keep you occupied we have a games room with a pool table, table tennis table, table
football, Nintendo Wii and an electronic dart board (with
plastic safety darts, suitable for children). We also have a
selection of board games, books and DVDs that you are welcome to borrow.
Food and drink
Although the idea of a gite holiday is that your accommodation is fully equipped for self-catering,
we also offer fresh bread and patisseries for breakfast which are delivered every morning from a local boulangerie.
In addition, we prepare a fresh home cooked "Plat du Jour" most days, which you can either have delivered
to your gite or eat in the bar if you decide to order it.
Some typical Plat du Jour menus are:
Starters:
Coquille St Jacques (scallops in cider and cream)
Tempura Tiger Prawns with sweet chilli sauce
Roquefort and Pear Tarte
Charentais
Melon and Mint salad
Main courses:
Cous Cous Royale (lamb, chicken and merguez cous cous)
Moules Frites
Scallop and Salmon Brochettes
Fillet Steak and chips cooked to your liking.
Fish pie
Vegetarian Burritos
Deserts:
Tarte Normande (apple,
almond and calvados tarte)
Dame Blanche (traditional
ice cream desert)
Chocolate fondant and ice cream
Fresh fruit salad
We also do a Curry night once a week (unless no one wants one!).
Prices for adults start from €10 depending on meal offered.
Meal on Arrival
We also offer a "Meal on Arrival" service. The meal is in your gite ready to eat whenever you want
it. It is four courses; starter, main, cheese and desert, plus wine! Just order it before you arrive
so that we have everything ready for you. You can order this on the booking form.
We also provide a 'Welcome pack' stocked with the essentials you need when you
arrive.
